Dear Families, Friends and Blog Followers,
. . . Tis bittersweet, indeed . . .
This school year has brought, with it, many changes, much growth and unduplicable leadership -- per Kelly's mantra, Together We Achieve More, we truly comprise a TEAM.
Always thinking ahead, Kelly planned and prepared a pancake breakfast, for Tuesday morning, as we would all be enjoying ice-cream, at Great Brook Farm, in Carlisle, before lunch-time -- our adventure was all that and more than we could have expected -- the weather was perfect and our animal friends were delightful -- much gratitude, to the many, many large and gentle cows, for the Wildberry Crunch and Coffee Heath Frozen Yogurt!!
As well, that morning, we were all treated to David's photos of "his day at work with Daddy" -- in fact, we all saw a classic green and yellow John Deere tractor, at Great Brook, which was very similar to David's own truck!!
On Wednesday, Kevin proudly "showed and told", to a very full house, the previously mentioned bird egg, which we housed in the Butterfly Pavillion, for the day -- thank you for the wonderful addition to our own egg shells, hanging on the window, above the science table, in the Cubby Room, and, the curriculum, Kevin!!
Liz spear-headed an all-out, made-up-on-the-spot, pirate story and outdoor venture, which lasted just about all of Thursday morning -- the Butterflies and Puppies made treasure maps and used them on their long and wet journey, all around 20 Mill Street, until the mystery was unravelled and the treasure found -- aarrgghh!! . . .
Later on, during Activity Time, Amanda and Bri guided the children in creating beautiful "summer art", Victoria and Hayley joyfully blended delicious fruit and berry smoothies, Elise introduced the kids to some new and different pasta art and Jenn designed, implemented and assisted the little ones with a multi-media colors and shapes art project -- and -- Krista visited!!
Krista's arrival was coincident with a small celebration we were having for our departing Sophomores and Miss Amy -- " . . . Make new friends and keep the old -- one is silver and the other gold . . . "
And, Friday, we enjoyed great water fun at the Waverly Oaks/Beavor Brook Reservation Water Park in Belmont -- THANK YOU, for all of your hard work, Miss Downing, Mrs. Dolham, Miss Sashi and Ms. Smith, as well as our enthusiastic and engaged high-schoolers -- WE LOVE AND MISS YOU GUYS, ALREADY!!!!
I do hope that you all had a very pleasant week-end and productive beginning to a new and full week of days.
Love Miss Peacock XOXO
